How to make Rice and Peas

Soak the red kidney beans overnight

Boil the red kidney beans in boiling water until al dente

Add the scallion, garlic, pimento and salt to the boiling mixture

After about 2-3 minutes add the washed Tilda rice and coconut milk and leave to boil for 5 minutes

Add the rest of the sauce ingredients and give it a good mix and keep aside.

After 5 minutes lower the fire and steam for 15 minutes, until the rice is perfectly cooked
