Tilda Keeps Its Promise to Mary’s Meals
Tilda Foodservice has pledged to keep its promise to support school-feeding charity Mary’s Meals, declaring its commitment to the UK based organisation.
The promise was announced to ensure Mary’s Meals – which provides life-changing daily meals to impoverished schoolchildren around the world – can continue its crucial work despite the immense challenges caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Since the partnership began, Tilda has donated over 161,500 meals as part of Tilda’s Big Meal Giveaway. The children who depend on Mary’s Meals at school, will now receive the same nutritious food at home.
Since Tilda’s Big Meal Giveaway was set up in July 2019, Tilda has supported the charity through Tilda wholegrain rice sales, fundraisers and wholesale partner initiatives.
Speaking about the charity commitment Annette Coggins, Head of Foodservice, Tilda UK says:
“Now more than ever charities need our support. Tilda Foodservice is committed to ensuring children in the UK and around the world continue to have wholesome and nutritious meals during these times. We are delighted to keep our promise to our charity partner Mary’s Meals and continue to help and support them in their life changing work.
Starting this month, Tilda will launch ‘Double the Love’ with several of its wholesale partners. For every 5kg bag of Tilda Brown & White, Tilda Brown Basmati, as well as Tilda Wholegrain Brown Rice, Tilda pledges to now donate two meals to Mary’s Meals as part of the Big Meal Giveaway.
Annette adds:
“We’re proud to launch Double the Love with the support of our wholesale partners, this is the first step to increasing our commitment and promise to Mary’s Meals and help feed even more children around the world.”
