TILDA CHEF TEAM OF THE YEAR 2023

A huge congratulations to our winners of the Tilda Chef Team of the Year, Denzil Monteiro and Kevin Benjamin Moffat from the Intercontinental London Park Lane.

The competition, in association with the Craft Guild of Chefs, as part of the HRC’S Salon Culinaire aimed to highlight just how versatile rice can be, helping chefs to cater for a wide range of food trends and diets – thanks to the grain’s versatility and wide appeal.

The winning chef team produced a show stopping menu which resulted in taking home the grand prize of an all-expenses paid trip to Italy!

THIS YEAR, THE THEME FOR TILDA’S CHEF TEAM OF THE YEAR WAS CELEBRATION

Competing chefs were asked to take inspiration from any festival that takes place anywhere in the world and to create a menu that reflects that. Chefs were given 45 minutes to prepare, cook and present 2 portions of a main course dish and dessert using 2 different Tilda rice as the base ingredients in each dish.

The Prize

A 2 night all expenses paid trip to Vercelli and Piedmont region!

The winning team will get to:
• Visit the spectacular rice paddies and mills responsible for the world-famous Tilda rice
• Explore one of Italy’s oldest cities and enjoy Vercelli’s best, local produce and wine with a visit to a local vineyard
• Visit the wonderful sites of Milan for plenty of sightseeing!

Three runners up teams will WIN Tilda Rice Hampers for their kitchen Entries have now closed this year, however make sure to keep an eye out next year to enter and be in for a chance to showcase your
skills and win this prestigious award.

The Rice
