Commercial Accountant

This is a key role within Tilda’s Finance department, and will engage with senior managers, and board directors across the Tilda and wider Ebro business. This role is responsible for all commercial analysis within the Tilda business, and whilst part of the finance team, will enjoy direct and regular contact with Tilda’s managing director.

Responsibilities

• Commercial appraisal of new products
• Product profitability analysis / review
• Customer performance – Trends v Budget / Forecasts etc
• Maintenance of monthly / quarterly profit forecasts
• Maintenance of monthly / quarterly sales reports
• Promotional Analysis – Effectiveness / Uplifts / Base Line Sales etc.
• Utilisation of IRI data and overlay of external commercial data with internal information.
• Marketing Analysis – ROI
• Competitor Analysis
• Active participation in the planning cycle, from a commercial perspective
• Business support partnering – Working with sales and marketing teams to provide financial / commercial insight.
• Regular and Ad-Hoc reporting, using both MS Excel JD Edwards (ERP) and Cognos reporting tool.

The Person

• This role is for an experienced and keen part qualified / qualified accountant, with a business partnering / commercial accounting background. (CIMA / ACCA)
• Be proactive with the ability to consider the big picture.
• The person should have a minimum of five years’ experience in this type of role / Ideally with a FMCG background. The applicant must have the ability to demonstrate extensive experience in financial analysis.
• The successful candidate should be a team player, with a can do attitude.
• Have exceptional relationship building skills
• It is key that they work in a collaborative role with all levels of management and staff within the organisation, and are driven to make a difference to colleagues and the wider business as a whole.
• The successful candidate must be a self starter.

Qualifications

• ACCA / CIMA Studier / Fully Qualified Accountant
