Tilda x Lovo

30 August 2024

At Tilda, our purpose is to grow a future where life in all its flavours can thrive.

That’s why we’re partnering with Ladies of Virtue Outreach CIC (LOVO), a non-profit organisation dedicated to engaging, equipping, and inspiring women and their families.

Over the next 12 months, Tilda pledges a £10,000 donation and several joint community initiatives with LOVO to advance our shared goals.

The Partnership

By partnering with LOVO, Tilda aims to make a meaningful difference in the lives of women and their families, fostering a supportive and thriving community. This collaboration aligns with one of the three pillars of Tilda’s purpose platform: supporting communities.

The £10,000 donation from Tilda will fund LOVO’s English language programmes for one year and support their global weekly lunch initiative, celebrating flavours and cultures from around the world. This funding will enable LOVO to extend its services to even more women in need.

This partnership with Tilda is a significant step forward for our organisation. The funds will enable us to reach more women and provide them with the tools and support they need to overcome their challenges and lead fulfilling lives.

About LOVO

LOVO supports marginalised and vulnerable women living with complex, intersecting needs that often impact their mental and physical health. Many of these women are from minoritised communities facing diverse challenges such as poverty, unemployment, language barriers, low skills, and domestic violence. LOVO believes in the inherent strength and capability of every woman, nurtured through their core pillars: Community, Growth, Gratitude, Self-Care, and Wisdom.

Our mission is to be a one-stop centre that supports women in addressing their complex needs through the provision of advice and referral services, advocacy and a listening ear, as well as skills training and various self-care activities to inspire healthy living and fulfilling lives.

Community Engagement

The Tilda X LOVO partnership will also bring a series of community events throughout 2024, fostering meaningful engagement and storytelling. The first joint event in June attracted over 140 women and included a Zumba class, a nutritionist talk, and a wellbeing therapist. A special project will be unveiled in September, promising to further deepen this impactful collaboration. A highlight of LOVO’s mission is their weekly global lunch at the Peckham centre, where women from diverse backgrounds come together to share and celebrate traditional dishes.
